CrossOver Office allows users to run Microsoft applictions on the Linux platform, including IE. This is a major boost to desktop Linux. Many users have been shy of Linux do to the fact MS office apps are so widely used and don't run under Linux. CrossOver Office answers the call. In addition, Lotus Notes is also supported.
The announcement comes with promise of more support for othe Windows productivity applications later in the year.

Also released today, Version 1.1.0 of the CrossOver Plugin for Linux. The plugin allows Linux type Browser users the use of Window platform web material such as Apple QuickTime and Macromedia Shockwave Director, plus more.

I use StarOffice 6.0 when possible, yet it's going to be great to have access to MS Office apps on Linux. :yes:
