I haven't directly asked for help much, but when I did: Vetritus03 (long gone from here) helped me with html/css issues, I have prolly asked sloth for a bunch of help, Nova too. But everyone here has helped in one way or another with tuts and posts. I also feel like special ed sometimes with how young a lot of members are.

I'm going to have to go with @jackofalltrades when I first started learning c++ and @_kya on day one of learning java when I was encountering some issues as to how I would build my game.

While I don't ask programming questions. ( I usually use Google and stuborness to get through on my own. ) I've certainly learned a great deal from the answer others over to questions.

JackOfAllTrades reads my mind a lot. Martyr2 often explores a topic in much greater depth than I. NickDMax and Bench expand my knowledge of C++ all the time.

There's more; I'll kick myself later. Anyone who takes the time to offer an answer will potentially teach me something I didn't know or add a view point I hadn't considered.

I'm always ending up doing the hard work and research myself, and whenever I actually make a post for help no one can really help me and I solve it anyway. So even in the end I'm always the one stating the answer to the original problem even if I'm the one having it.

I remember that one time my video card was screwing with my textures and colors and I thought it was me. I always get the unlucky problems.

Speaking of which, one thing I wish people would do is that if they solve their own difficult problem, they should post the solution so that others having that problem may see.

Locke helped me quite a bit back when I first joined DIC, even writing a little pointer tutorial when I was lost.

:)

PsychoCoder helped me out when I was a n00b with VB. KYA (and a few others, I'd have to go read the thread and I'm too lazy) helped me with my linked list assignment way back when I was in Programming 1.

I am honored to think that we are often on the same wavelength. On that note, what you say regarding programming questions is exactly my method as well. I have one question over at Stack Overflow, two over at MSDN. That's about it. Most of the time I can dig out what I need from the documentation I can find online.

When Baavgai used to post code in the C++ forum, I thought he totally ruled. I can't say I actually remember who has helped me the most though, probably KYA and Nick.

I have learned allot about PHP from Dormilich and JackOfAllTrades , Dormilich's tutorials in particular are excellent in my opinion. baavgai's tutorial helped me understand delegates in C# and, more recently, I find I have learned from his posts here in the Caffeine Lounge. The breadth of his knowledge and his levelheadedness never ceases to impress me.

I have learnt alot from Dogstopper, macosxnerd101, pbl, Martyr2 and japanir the past year or so. Really made me improve myself as a programmer watching their posts and getting stuck in the Java forums.

:) We all learned some things from each other, with the exception of Martyr2, who is just crazy awesome at everything.

Most helpful, (recent memory), would be baavgai and Dogstopper
