My dad just bought me an Acer P206HL LED Monitor, and i brought it home and hooked up my xbox to it thinking that there would be sound. apparently i had bought the model without audio out... is there any way that i can access this function even though it don't have the model with sound out?

I thought the XBOX had separate audio connection on the back, so you could wire it up to a sound system.

I meant my 360 sorry. I have an idea of what i am going to do, but it costs 20 bucks. it is basically a splitter that makes my video go to the monitor, and the audio go to the speakers.

I got it figured out. If you have the regular cable that comes with the xbox 360 premium, it is too wide to plug in if the hdmi cable is plugged in. you can pop the little case off of the cable (the end that plugs into the 360) and there is a little metal case that will protect that end of the cable. it is thin enough to plug in while the hdmi cable is in. then, you find a component audio adapter that turns component into the headphone jack, and a male to male adapter. then you can plug in your speakers and it works fine.
