While watching the 6 o clock news they have discovered that ICQ has a HUGE security flaw stating ANYONE who has it installed RUNNING or NOT RUNNING is hackable. There is NOTHING that can stop someone from entering your computer and anyone can do it. The only way as of now to protect yourself is to delete it..
this is no joke! This is really insane..

dude ICQ has more holes in it than anyother program i have seen i've been able to do that sort of thing on it for years.. who even uses icq anymore... i mean actually uses it like on a daily basis.

actually, lots of people use ICQ. me? i used it once, determined that ir sucked like a Hoover, and uninstalled it.
Quik, care to shed more light on this huge flaw? seems to me that anyone online without a beefy firewall is open for hacking. details...

i have icq, i dont use it, why, because it stopped being an instant messenger, and started being a calender, pager, etc, etc. and ate my ram up like louie anderson at an all you can eat buffet.

Well I for one use ICQ everyday. Yall are right that there are many security flaws in it. Thus the reason I use Trillian now. http://www.trillian.cc Its great, ICQ, AOL, MSN, IRC, and Yahoo all in ONE program :D

i got hit by a virus not 2 long ago, comp guy blamed it on icq, dunno how, maybe its just because its known for it, well , i never got around 2 d/ling it again .
