I know this game has been getting a lot of crap, but I actually enjoy the multiplayer quite a bit. I think it is much more challenging than MW2, and team work is a must. Has anyone else played Medal of Honor yet? If so, how did you like it?
MOHAnyone played this game yet?

Haven't played it but I have liked all the games from the MOH series. Though I didn't play Airborne, I throughly enjoyed countless hours playing the others.
May have to spend the 50 or 60 on it sometime in the near future.

@creativecoding, Are you thinking about getting the game?
@eker676, I have not played prior MoH releases so I am not sure how to compare this to those. If you like the BattleField games you will probably like this one. DICE, the developers for Bad Company 2, did the multiplayer for the new Medal of Honor.

Nah. My mom's boyfriend has an anti-G+-rated-games thing.
But I have played both MW2 and BFBC2. I was pretty much addicted to MW2 (because I owned it, bfbc was only played at friends). But I have to say, the two are completely different games. MW2 isn't really for the hardcore gamer type. More like a game made just for friends that like to have fun. Whereas, bfbc2 is more of a team thing. You know?

I completely agree. I play with a team of guys who are all about strategy based first person shooters, we're currently playing BC2. Granted that BC2 is not as tactical as GRAW2 or ARMA, but more so than MW2. MW2 can be a fun game, but I get tired of it pretty quick.

A lot of people say that your MW2 skills will not translate into BFBC2 (as in, you may rock at mw, but suck at bfbc), but that wasn't the case for me. I have always played rather skillfully. You know how you are in a match with people around the same level as you? Well, I constantly scored top three because MW2 has tought me well.
Nostalgia. I want my mw2 back...

In any case I believe someone can pick up similar games and excel at them. MW2 does put a lot into quick reflex shooting, which can help you in any FPS. I don't believe MW2 stresses strategy, which is why I tend to tire of the game. I have played a few matches where both teams were made up primarly of clans and it didn't feel like a complete cluster f#$! but that is rare. BF2 and GRAW2 are probably my favorite first person shooters. Besides CS:Source that is.

I played MoH: Allied Assault for years competitively and was really really looking forward to the new MoH. But we need 2 copies because both my husband and myself play and right now could not afford the $120 + tax to get them. (Such is the dilemma of a student!) The day after it's release we checked forums and all we heard was bad stuff about it so I'm quite happy to have not spent money I didn't really have on it. I did hear good things about the single-player game but I'm all about the multi-player and making all the little boys eat my 'nades, so with poor reviews on the multi-player, I can't say I'm really that interested in it anymore. However, if I see the game being played and can see for myself without having to shell out a load of money upfront, I may yet change my mind again, simply because I loved the MoH series so much (especially AA).

I played this game a couple of weeks ago at a games expo and I really enjoyed it, the explosions were a bit terrible but apart from that it was great I thought.
I don't know why it's getting such bad reviews on the multiplayer, it's making me question my own judgment

It is a fantastic game but single player is too short

Thank you to NeoTifa for pointing out there is a games forum, even if in a bout of frustration. I honestly had no idea. Thank you as well to macosxnerd for moving this topic there. Anyways, I agree that the single player was way too short. I actually enjoy MW2's single player more, only because they took the time to develop a story. In my opinion, MoH multi player beats MW2 hands down though.
