Running a Partition in a VM

Posted 26 October 2010 - 04:49 AM

Okay, so here's the deal guys.
I have Mac OS X, I'm soon to get Windows 7.
I WILL be installing Windows 7 with Boot Camp as a seperate partition. There is no changing that fact as one piece of software I use is resource heavy and having researched it, it just will not run in a Virtual Machine, well it will, but not well, you know what I mean.

So what I want to know is, when I'm not running that software I might want to use Windows as a Virtual Machine, is it possible to do that from a seperate (boot camp) partition??

Having google'd it, I've seen conversations about people doing it with Ubuntu and Windows, so that suggests to me there may well be a way. I just haven't found it yet.

Thanks,
JD.
