My cousin needs help with booting knoppix (I don't know anything about it unfortunately).
I set the primary boot-device to CD-ROM.
For some reason, instead of starting knoppix, it shows the following pompt:

[DR-DOS] A:\>

I haven't put a floppy disk in my floppy drive. Isn't 'A:' the floppy drive?
Can anyone help? If I try opening any files (like text files or .exe files), it says there isn't enough memory. My cousin's computer has a ram of 512MB and HDD of 200GB. I think thats more than enough.

Are you sure knoopix is on that CD ROM?

Are you sure that CD-ROM can boot from that type of buned media. I know many cdroms that can't boot from CD-RWs

And BTW, setting CD first in your boot order doesn't do crap, as long as its just before the HDD, it should boot fine.

How old is the mobo? I've had some problems with some mobos and knoppix.

As I said, I know nothing about this actually. My cousin (who needs help) said that it used to work before. And yes. The CD does have knoppix on it.
er... Whats a mobo? (seriously I dont know). Another version of linux?
