Windows 7

Posted 23 November 2010 - 10:38 AM

hi

I'm just looking for a quick answer to:

What version of Windows 7 pro is most suitable for my system? My system is running:

Memory: 3.9Gib
Processor 0: Pentium® Dual-Core CPU T4200 @2.00GHz
Processor 1: Pentium® Dual-Core CPU T4200 @2.00GHz

Available disk space: 420.3 GiB

So, my first and probably most important questions is 'do i buy a 32bit or 64bit version' of Microsoft's latest offering?

Best price?

help..:)

64 bit will be useless to you if you do not exceed 4GB of RAM. Get the 32 bit version.

The ceiling for 32bit is 4GB of RAM, where as 64 bit supports higher. Not sure what the ceiling is (128GB?)

Unless your plan is to upgrade, even then, keep in mind that the program has to be written with using more than 4GB of memory in mind.

As for what versions, it depends on the features you will use.

Over and over on one PC, at one time. It will be a one computer license.

I don't even think it reaches 4. I believe it's more like 3.2 or something lol
