Hello everyone. I wanna know whether is it possible to ping a computer on a different broadcast domain?

You can ping everyone and anyone, save for CNN, paranoid buggers that lot be.

yeah you can ping any network its all about routing part...

I disagree. Ping returns latency, which is useful to know, as it is a measure of how long it takes to communicate. That is useful outside of a LAN, if you have ping enabled.

Agreed. Pinging is and can be very important. Especially when just learning about networking or setting up your first RIP or RIPv2 networks. (Any network for that matter)
mistic Have you used Packet tracer? If you have not definitely check that out. It can be a life saver when designing networks. You can also configure your routers on Packet tracer then upload the startup-configurations to a physical router. This can save a lot of time!
