Windows XP blackscreen

I've finally updated Windows XP, (it's been a while since I used it, because I need to update my Ubuntu partition now) and now ever since I've updated it, every time I resize the resolution, it gives me a black screen and a cursor. Now, I can't use most of my programs, because they obviosly use fullscreen, when the resolution gets changed, it gives a black screen. Thanks, in advance! :)

Problem solved, you can now close this now... :D I still dunno what it was, but reinstalling helped.
