You never really know with these NASA press conferences, but any discussion on Astrobiological findings has to be somewhat interesting!

well, I guess we will have to wait till Thursday to see what this is about, but it's always fun to speculate about findings in space.

The only question I'll have once scientists do find life on other planets will be "What the hell took you so long?"

Alex,
Last time I check I was still of the male persuasion so your comment is quite far off.

HE gave HIS hat to me.
Fuck. It was only half amusing to begin with. Now it's completely dead thanks to you and your inability to interpret the written word.
Don't you have some PlayDoh or Matchbox cars you should be playing with?

in a truly infinite universe, everything which can exist must exist at some point. this means that every disney cartoon alien must exist somewhere: ET is out there somewhere, he is really named ET, and that whole movie is happening right now on a planet that looks like ours did.
Let me put it this way: if the universe is truly infinite, somewhere out there is a planet where SpectateSwamp is right about everything.

That is a fucking frightening thought and I am incredibly glad that I do not live on that planet.
