Oracle : Problem with Contains keyword in query

Posted 03 December 2010 - 12:26 AM

Getting error if i uses a numerical value(EX: 66) or numerical value with hyphen(%6-6%) as search
keyword, if i remov %, query will work, but i dont wana remove % coz, if i want to search a word
like BGS6-67A34 i need %,

Query:
select * from line_item_price where status = 'A' and (contains(partnumberkeyword,
'6{-}6|%6{-}6%|66|%66%',100)>0 or contains(keyword, '6{-}6%',20)>0 or
contains(keyword,'6{-}6',10)>0)

Error:
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-29902: error in executing ODCIIndexStart() routine
ORA-20000: Oracle Text error:
DRG-51030: wildcard query expansion resulted in too many terms

Thank you.
