If I lost my right hand I could easily replace it with my left for masturbating purposes.

He'll I'm sure I could find a way to use my feet if I had to.

i would tell the brightest physicists and best programmers to come together and attempt to create an exact replica of our universe that can be sped up, slowed down ect.. so that we could start at the big bang and on a particle by particle bases completely recreate the universe and see if it can ever become accurate enough to cause event's as specific to 9-11 to happen. i think the issue with this however is there is a cretin amount of randomness involved quantum physics that might make this rather impossible. if that was the case then i would ask the same programmers to build an infinitely intelligent neural network to solve the problem for us then have it create the replica of the universe. then we learn from the computer then destroy the neural network so that Portal never happens to us :)

edit: i might also stop and ask these group of people what they would do with said computer as my idea may not be the best idea

edit2: after i used it to solve the universes secretes i would give it to skyhawk as a server for DIC :), if some one request the neural network to bring world peace i might consider it as well.

I would develop a program that finds almost every EXE file that looks important. Then it will run all of these in the background. And then when you click on a shortcut to open a file, it will open that program instead. It will be all loaded up and ready.

I would also make a spider for porn sites. It never ends. Assuming that porn will never stop being posted, my spider will never stop downloading. Thus, infinite OC of porn.

an infinitely powerful computer would not need to keep things as background processes, they would load up just the same, instantly. that's the point of the infinite. same with the porn, it wouldn't need to download because it would play everything in real time with no lag. the only limit is how fast you as the user can consume the porn. (my guess, you could watch a lot but it would be over pretty fast. BA-ZING!)

i would write a program or script to download from every possible permutation of a url at once an infinite number of times so the web would crash. then i would execute an infinite loop :). then i would crack into every major media streaming device in the world by attempting every possible permutation of the computers function until it did it (use AI to decide weather it has cracked it's way in to every major media streaming device) and broadcast a video of me telling the world that i will not relinquish the internet until SpectateSwamp admits that grep is better than SSDS :)

edit: i would also write everything in scripts instead of programs, no need for c++ if i can use Ruby just as quickly however i would still argu that Lua is faster just becuase i love Lua  :tt1:

Even if you had an infinite computer, windows will still take 20 min to load.

Well I'd try and crack a One Time Pad encryption algorithm, and probably fail, even with a computer with infinite resources... maybe bruteforce might work... and said infinite powered computer would probably brouteforce it in an infinitely small amount of time, if the computer had truly infinite resources... then I'd get it to figure out what array of bytes returned was the correct one for the data which was encrypted... which would theoretically be instant too... Anyway, time for me to sleep.

I would use it to help build a time machine so I could go back and stop this thread from ever happening.
