resolution: 1680x1050
antialiasing: 4
anisotropic filtering: no
textures: high
radial Blur: med
shadows: med
decal: med
FXAA: yes
all water reflections
view distances:
object: 2
actor: 3
grass: 3
specularity: 5
light: 10
item: 3
distant object detail: med
object detail fade: yes

I tried everything on full, but that was unbearably slow. I just hit the "default" settings button and it auto detects what it thinks you should run. I upped the settings. I think I set shaders to med and turned on all reflections. other than that I left the settings alone.

I run every thing on High/Ultra with full sliders and max everything else. I haven't experienced random freezing yet though. I've only played for 3-4 hours so far though. However, I did have to change the system sound output to get the game running at all. It's quit to desktop on me once, not sure what happened there :dontgetit:

@Gabehabe, I'm currently doing the dark brotherhood storyline with my character that beat the main storyline, and I feel like I should remake an especially sneaky character for the dark brotherhood and thieves' guild.

I'm gonna get the main storyline done after I've restored the thieves guild. Wonder if I can pickpocket a dragon...

@KYA: i run on high with no issues, i can also run on ultra save AA(which i have to put at 4x for it to run really smooth, 8x is ok but i notice the lag, 16x it's just laggy) i noticed that sometimes when i kill someone while they are sleeping the game will crash but it only happened a few times.

O and my resolution is 1920x1080 that should give you all the settings im using.

i get the freezing one time. while i was going to reaver something town. but i notice the it read something form the HDD that time perhaps some temp files or memory transfer. well for the 5-6h that i played this happens only once. i rly dont have that much of RAM so i guess that was causing the freezing. however on my PC the game looks really nice and it runs so good no lagg no shit. too bad i have to give it back to the guy i borrow it from

I've had this game crash on me once and a quest to glitch once. It wasn't the quest, rather the rotating wall door traps when fighting Potema, they got stuck and I couldn't leave. coc Riverwood does the trick though.

I'm impressed, Oblivion would have crashed 50 times by now (and this is a low estimate).

I had one crash and one quest glitch also. The game has been much more... robust than Oblivion, as you pointed out.

I have had 3 crashes so far and a significant lag once. Hopefully the crashes will be fixed soon, they get annoying and have caused me to save whenever I do anything remotely meaningful (like killing a couple of wolves).

That's why you press F5 after every step. F5 is the most useful key in any modern game Bethesda has made.

All you people who are claiming to have a crash or a glitch, are you all computer users? I have yet to crash on the PS3. I do experience a little bit of the chunking but I see that only when it needs to transfer data from the hard drive. Like before some cinematic or something.

:)

I kinda wish I'd made my thief character a big black guy called Augustus Cole, so I could yell "the Cole train just takes what he wants!" every time I steal something (which is /very/ often)

Still no crashes or crippling glitches on the 360. And no lag as far as I can tell.
