Alright i have a HP Pavillion DV7 and My problem is that it doesn't power on. It kinda does and by that i mean i hit the power button, I hear the fan start and then a semi low/high pop followed by poweroff. It can't be that battery or the charger because I removed the battery so that would eliminate that, and the charger was just replaced today. Any ideas of whats goin on here folks? All help appreciated

it blinks 3 times but comes on a 4th time for about 4 seconds, sorry to ask a stupid quesiton but should i count the forth for a blink

I wouldn't no.. so try reseating the ram.

If you have more than one stick of ram, try running it with only one stick / then try just the other stick.
