Best way to add information to an Excel Spreadsheet using VB 2008

Posted 11 February 2011 - 11:29 AM

Hello,

I'm creating an application in VB 2008 that will act as an interface for user's to add information to an excel spreadsheet. I am trying to determine the best way to do this, since I have never actually done it before. It seems like it should be simple, but as I am reading about it, I feel like it is a little more complicated than I had originally thought. I don't need to create the spreadsheet, I just need to add to it using this form as an interface. Any ideas?

Thanks

There is a tutorial here that should get you started. It starts out with Word but on down it talks about automation with Excel. Take a look at it and see if it gets you started, then you can ask more specific questions from there. Office Automation
