completely different direction with the logo,
so far everyone seems to like it,
but the thing is it does not represent the task of the site at all,
but in web 2.0, which ones really do?
so, not sure about that.

the rest is very obviously just a sample of things i could do with the site, and just want feedback on what you think.

the backend is still being troublesome for me just because i have never done something so massive before,
so if you have a good cms in mind besides the e107, drupal, and joomla ideas then let me know.

i may just be using media wiki for it . thanks in advance.

yeah i thought about that, depending on the length of the left nav i could do a vertical one there... include some text between title of note and content of note (not inclined to do that, but we would have to see how it looked) or even between the info boxes on the right, if i could somehow make them look like part of the site....

i decided to make design of the actual site more important than ads but i run the risk of just making the ads look that much more out of place. have to see how it works out, making this thing live is still a little ways off in the future.

At first I skeptical about the logo, but I looked at it longer and a grew on me a bit. one could interpret it as a "pile of notes" (blue boxes). One suggestion might be to make the blue boxes look like notes with torn paper edges, still subtle blue like you have. It's nice the way it is, however, but if you are looking for something to play with...

On the right hand menu, maybe add some space around the "Notes Directory" header text.

I really like what you have going, Capty. It definetly has the shiny new "Web 2.0" feeling. I'll be excited to see it put to code!

I actually like the logo, the multiple layers of translucency behind it save it. I like the layout, very clean. I think the text needs to change, it looks too much like a print graphic. Other than that, sweet and clean.

Awesome stuff! Is it on your host yet?

I think that you should put the welcome page with search box on index, then with a login form which allows to log in and then access your cms thing.

thanks for the comments, gonna make a couple of changes and get back to yall eventually, probably the next step is to put it to the code.

definitely need to fix the note directory part like you said,

and the logo, im gonna play and see if i can make them note-like.

really, i was just in illustrator, and had a rectangle behind the text and clicked a style button and it gave me exactly what those blue boxes look like now, so no designing there, just pure dumb luck.

we;re about to see if i have the skills to make it work. thanks.

The logo kinda looks like the stack of post its on my desk however honestly it took me reading the 3rd image of that site to figure out what the hell was going on and what it was for.
