one of the kids i know was 7.
and you can't really say they were stupid.
that just sucks.
but at the same time, you can't blame it on being shown on tv. which was discussed multiple times today o n the news channels.
seriously, parents just need to figure out how to watch their kids tv schedules.

But if a teen is playing "hang saddam" then somebody failed in his upbringing.
Or his family tree is a bit too circular.

DrudgeReport has had several stories over the past few days of teens killed when trying to "Act like saddam". Apparently, just like when kids play video games and go shoot people. Watching Saddam Husein get hung is prompting kids to do the same.
So, I ask you this DIC Members: Do kids that do stupid things like hang themselves because they saw someone else do it deserve their fate? Or am I being insensitive?

Actually I think they do it because they don't understand that the consiquences are what they are. Too much fantasy and not enough reality. Dummies!!

There was some cases in Serbia of children jumping in to 20m+ water wells after watching Teletubies on tv. But the hanging stuff, and for the rush? Just plain stupid.

I'm not talking about normal crazy teen stuff because those are important things in building character, too.
Right again there! Let's put it this way... Like Amadeus said, there's a fine line between kids and teens. The difference is, kids, the little ones, have no idea what is wrong and what is right. Teens do. Or so they should, given their age.
Sometimes, parents just have to let their kids do their stuff on their own so they could learn from their own mistakes. But, and I say BUT, they still need guidance as they do so.

I have a story about this. Its not about kid (well depends on your definition of kid), but I thought it would be nice to share my opinion.
A guy at some school in my city hung himself "accidentally" because he was looking for the rush you get from having no blood to your head. His parents found him dead hung on a friggin doorknob.
Now I have this girl at school, which will stay anonymous, who's like "Poor him, he was my friend, he was cool, respected, intellegent..." ect, always whining about how sad it is.
I'm sorry, but I feel nowhere near sorry for this guy. He's the dumbass, I can't help that, and if he wanted to feel a rush he could have at the very least requested supervision from friends. Or do something else, like try to play DDR drunk dead.
IMHO, if that guy was dumb enough to hang himself on his own, thats one less moron to put us normal people in danger later.
As for younger kids, no they don't deserve it, like people said earlier, they are just doing stuff that their very easily influenced mind say somewhere.

LOL that reminds me of a body recovery i worked as a EMT except your kid wasent balding 45 yr old wearing a PVC french maids outfit with a gasmask on that was sealed. Autoerotic Asphixiation ( I wish I had my ems field guide for the proper spelling) the dudes land lord came in on the guy and was like WOAH SORRY BUDDY but he was dead and didnt notice. The landloard didnt realize the guy was dead till he went in 3 days later due to a Odor complaint and the guy was still in the outfit with the gasmask on sitting on the couch. I have a really fucked up sence of humor it keeps the deamons at bay.
