can you suggest a method to implement voice recognition in python or j2me?j2me is preferable.i got a method to record the voice and then later on converting it into text.but it is time consuming.

You might want to look into JPython. JPython allows you to use the java libraries in Python. Through this, you should be able to use J2me.

It's called Jython 
You might want to look at pyspeech or I believe there is a Microsoft SDK if you want to just develop for windows.
If you just want to use the Java libraries, why not use Java?
