Ubuntu 11.04 beta 1 to USB from Ubuntu

Posted 12 April 2011 - 02:14 PM

Okay, I'm trying to reinstall Ubuntu 11.04. To do that I downloaded the OS and put in my USB drive then go to the "Start Up Disk Creator", I then select the .iso, drive, then I clear everything on the drive, the OS extracts to the drive, but I get this error: An uncaught exception was raised: [Errno 2] No such file or directory. I tried another USB drive and I got the same error.

The reason why I'm reinstallying Ubuntu 11.04 is because I installed Gnome 3 and it's not to compatible with the OS.

If there is no solution I could try Ubuntu 10.10.

EDIT :: I Googled the error to now avail.

hmm. I just tried that and when I boot from the USB I get an error saying that the operating system can't be found. It could be that I'm doing it wrong. I select the .iso file and then I choose the drive, right? The files are on the drive. Do the permissions matter?
