I'd say "good on yer!" for Trump by virtue of the fact that a big failing economy needs somebody that knows how to make money in charge, if it weren't for the fact that the man has lost at least as much money as he has ever earned.
Business people are good political leaders for struggling economies. Thaksin Shinawatra (pronounced "Toxin Chinny wut")(it's a weird language) did a surprising amount of good in the one and a half terms he was actually in office here, including such things as bumping up the national standard for education (everything from getting on board with the OLPC movement to creating free universities to subsidizing university education for private institutions), getting healthcare to the poor people (perspective: a caesarian section operation plus hospital recovery of a few days plus all assorted medicines, when he was in charge, cost about 14,000 baht, and at the time the exchange rate meant that was about $350 USD. right now, the going rate is about 27,000 baht just for the operation- factor in another 8-10k for the rest of it, and the exchange rate has changed so that this is about $900 USD for the operation). The guy was able to make thailand so productive that he was able to both fund this and reduce the national debt here (to the IMF after the '97 crash).
Yeah, long story short, get the googletards or some (successful) business person to run for president- somebody who can figure out what to do when they have no money but want a lot of it. It's not like there's a shortage of workers or anything.

I think you misinterpreted what Choscura meant by that phrase.
He was referring to business people who know how to stretch their budgets to turn a profit.
As for Donald Trump, he's a jackass. He's a jackass for a million reasons and I've thought it since I moved to Palm Beach County and had to deal with the umpteen properties he owns around here and throws his weight around suing people because they disturb his property.
"Boo-hoo, I'm going to sue PalmBeach International Airport because they keep upsetting my golf course. Oh and lets not forget about the ugly prison in the skyline." [paraphrasing Trump]
You built it there asshat! You built it across the street from the airport and to the west of GunClub penitentiary. It wasn't like we built them AFTER you built your golf course... no you bought the land from both of them for dirt cheap knowing they were there. Don't fuckin' piss and moan now that the noise and sight of them is ugly. No that gold plated entry way to your dog shit country club is gaudy and ugly.
Trump as president doesn't even register as a possibility on my radar. He's a birther, and you're only a birther if you're a fucking idiot or if you're a superbly paranoid tin-foil hat wearing sociopath who thinks the government is in cahoots with the aliens trying to suck your brains out your nose.

As seen here where Barry gets hustled into the black Suburban by the Secret Service mere moments after successfully executing his patented "I-block-yer-shot-with-my-lip" move.

I think that Donald Trump would make an acceptable president; not a great one but probably not a terrible one either. Here are my predictions:
Foreign Relations:
I think that something could go terribly wrong, though it would most likely be alright. I think he would try to press our allies for more visible compensation for our support.
Domestic Social Policy:
I don't really what if anything he would change? At worst he would try something silly and loose all political clout; at best good education reform
Domestic Monetary Policy:
I expect that he would do a lot do balance the budget and eliminate debt such as cutting programs or cutting funding to those programs. I expect that if nothing else the country would be more financially stable after having him as a president for 4 years.
Working with politicians(i.e. house/senate):
I doubt he would work well with politicians. I could be wrong I don't know how similar politics and big business are. If they're close enough he could do great. If sufficiently different he could get bogged down working through the political channels trying to get things done.
