Could damaged processor pins cause boot failure?

Once the VGA cable removed, shouldn't the display automatically switch back?

On most laptops (not all) the function + F4 button will swap the video modes. It's a three toggle switch.

In mode 1 the display is only on the LCD
In mode 2 the display is on both the LCD & the 2nd VGA port
In mode 3 the display is on just the 2nd VGA port

It doesn't switch between the two by cable attachment.

Usally On laptops, when the screen goes ALL WHITE it's a sign that the video cable is bad or has been disconnected.
