I'm pleased to announce that the Dream.In.Code News application has been submitted to the App Store and is now ready for download(Just click the big image at the bottom of this post).

The great Dream.In.Code community news application is now available for iOS! Simply browse the news, share and join the discussion within seconds!. Enjoy

So I've been working on this application for about 3 weeks. Now it's finally finished and polished(not at all). With this great news app you can get all the latest news about Dream.In.Code and our community activities.

The UI looks like a newspaper because I like it like this(I'm the developer, I choose! ), also it makes the app looks more professional and text better for reading

This is the first version, but I'm already improving it for later updates...

Does this scale to iPad displays? or did you specifically code this for iPhone?

DIC is finally (almost) getting a native look! Hopefully skyhawk133 would look into this and maybe he would consider making DIC iOS/Android optimized.

Yup, but the iPad version is just that one bigger, but it's still a universal binary. I'm improving that for the next release. I'll make it look like the Mail app, if you rotate it you will see all the news on the left and the content on the middle

Looks good! I've moved to Android but have kept my iphone for MP3s. I'll download it when it's released and have a look!

Yup, I'm working on the Android code right now. Fixing the last bugs. I hope I can release the Android version within today, since I don't have an iPhone, my main devices are an iPod Touch, iPad 64GB w/ 3g and a Motorola Droid. So I was working on the iOS version to start the Android port after, since Apple takes ages to approve stuff

The app will be free, since I hate paid apps and love the free ones(I hope I never release any free app in my life). It's called Dream.In.Code News and it will be available at the Apple App Store after it gets approved




I will change the Support URL as soon as it gets approved, since I will create a topic here at Dream.In.Code to talk about the app and what people want to get improved

I don't have a Blackberry, but I'm planning to buy one so I can develop some stuff for it, but not within next month...

Awesome... Going the same route. Getting a Blackberry soon, try and develop some of my ideas for it.

Dream.In.Code app was a really cool idea. Can't wait to use it

From experience, the development tools for Blackberry are horrible. Capital H Horrible. Heed my warning!

All I know is, getting the SDK and all their stuff set up is a MISSION! I'll just be using Flash Builder, it's easier setting up the SDK etc.

The app is now In Review by the Apple team, so it might take 10 minutes to receive the confirmation.... (tension......)


Edit: The status is still In review... I think they left for tomorrow lol
