i have 2 9800gtx+ in SLI. word of advice, don't use SLI unless it's a hardware SLI (e.g. 295 gtx) it's not that much better even when playing Crysis. just take the extra money and buy a single better GPU.

I have the spec'd parts from the last rig I built (July of '09). Radeon HD 4870 turned out to be the most expensive part of the build...but it still works reasonably well.

...reasonably well enough anyway to allow me to gut bitches on BadCompany 2 like fresh mackerels with my Ronco® Stab-A-Sniper utility blade.

actually, last time i was at best buy picking up an online order there was a really cute girl at the geek squad counter. just a normal best buy customer service rep though, not a GS member.

damn, maybe i SHOULD have done that.

I have a 9400GT on my desktop, but after I finish these next two courses at Uni, I won't need a laptop anymore so I'll sell my desktop (450$) and sell my laptop (850$) and buy myself a kick ass desktop system.

I pretty much hate laptops at this point, too delicate, small battery, difficult to upgrade. Just plain old shitty. I much prefer a desktop and a cheap netbook to hoist around whenever I need to be on the move. :lol:
