Mine's an XFX 8800 GTS 320MB. What can I say, it's a good card, runs high end games at "high settings", although I do miss the extra memory that you get from other cards.

Consider an 8800, they support every OpenGL extension I can think of, like FBO, PBO, VBO, as well as various shaders. I couldn't do without FBO support personally.

why would a bye a GPU from the same generation as my current one? i would get a new one, most likely either a 400 series or 200 series, possibly a 500 series.

@ calvinthedestroyer
Getting a new video card would dramatically improve performance, a video card is the most important piece of hardware when it comes to gaming.
Now these days, I have to use 9600GT video card it is pretty modest card and ok for playing some games made 2-3 years ago.
Goodluck!
Thanks,

Yeah do not get an 8800. They're great cards but they're also old and you can get more performance with less power and fewer $$$.

Yup, you should get a 9800 or a 250 (I think it's the 250 or the 260) that are both rebranded 8800 GTXs. ~100 bucks
