Kubuntu 10.10 not detecting wired to router

Its all in the title. I have successfully achieved internet from going from modem to pc, however when i make the pathway, modem to router to computer it detects no internet plugged in. Soo any chance anyone can help?

My internet type is DSL, ATT is my provider :) thanks for reading

Do you perchance still have the DSL settings entered in for internet? Is your adapter set to DHCP? Can you show me an 'ifconfig eth0' from the terminal please?

....This dates back to the 8th of May. As to why it doesn't have an answer I don't know but still, WATCH THE LAST POST DATE.

I will, but I don't really view it as necroposting if no one has attempted to help the user. If it's an issue, I won't revive posts that are only a month and some old. My apologies.
