Okay I say close the bastard thread. There were about three near deaths, but if the kids are going to bump it for five months well... lame.

Let me expand on my thought - the cost/benefit analysis of humor to stupidity for this thread's continued existence versus any other threat that might be bumped off the front page because this took it slot is obvious and tipped to favor the cornucopia of future options.

I won't mind if it's closed. Go ahead, about 80% of this is religious debate (boring).

Initially I thought we were an autonomous collective, but now I realize I am fooling myself. We're living in a dictatorship. A self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes...

Well, my "end of the world" post was meant to be humorous as to the thread being called end of the world. Apparently, my blood-alcohol level made me believe that post to be a lot funnier than it was.

In reality, we gave Camping all the attention he wanted. WE have made this what it is today by making it a daily discussion. I personally had a lot of fun with it. I find it funny that someone took this serious enough to spend 140,000 of their retirement savings to place ads throughout the city of New York and then "Poof!!! No Rapture"
HAHAHAHAHA

I personally think that Camping should face charges. How is this any different than someone lying to you about an investment opportunity and taking your life saving and skipping town?

In my mind, this is worse. One is taking money due to greed, this is taking money due to faith.
