Hi,

30 Second's to complete.

I'm in the process of designing a game for a College Project, and need to perform some target market research. Would you be able to complete this online questionnaire. Please complete sensibly, your answers are appreciated.

I filled it out (: Age groups are a little funny. Something like 15-22? Seems like two separate groups.

So which age group would anyone 11, 15 or 25 choose? Also I guess people between 35 and 50 don't exist?

Filled it out for you. The age question could really use some work and I didn't quite understand the "Buy or Play games" question. Seemed like it was trying to make you decide whether you'd rather buy a game and not play it, or play a game and not buy it. It's a checkbox control, so both could be chosen, but who buys games without playing them? Oh wait... I've done that... I owned God of War: Chains of Olympus for about 2 years and never played it before I sold my PSP and all the games with it... Nevermind, carry on.

See I took it as a "Do you illegally download video games" question. So yeah definitely not very clear.

You may buy games for a relative, friend etc... Thus, you may not actually play them yourself.

Whatever happened to the game discussion forum? I miss that place - you don't have to sift through countless lounge threads to find games or game related topics to discuss.

You might also consider asking how many hours per week instead of per day. People with jobs and families don't tend to get regular daily gaming time. Personally, most of my gaming happens on weekends.

I'm in the same situation, Craig. I generally can't play for more than 2-3 hours each working day, but on the weekends I'll sometimes clock 12+ hours easily.

Well to be fair, the hours per day question did state on average. If you don't play games at all during the week and play games for 10 hours on the weekend then you're around 1.5 hours, it's not that hard.

As for the buy/play thing, there's plenty of kids on this forum who might rely completely on parents to buy their games, or parents of those kids who never play games but buy them.

Sometimes you have to connect the dots.

For whatever reason I don't see the invites until I shut down the game...and there they are. Normally, I'm shutting down the game because I've schooled as many tards as I can and have grown weary.

I will resolve to be more attentive going forward. Lately, I've been quite involved with Napoleon: Total War...and I have to concentrate on that unless I wanna get run off the continent by a little computer-controlled frog.

I got paid yesterday and am considering a purchase of Portal 2. You got that yet?


@hookiethe1: It's Friday and I was told there'd be no math. Stating it as average per day kinda sorta suggests you game everyday and, on average, how many hours you get in.
