ISOBALL - How To make it

Posted 14 June 2011 - 08:00 AM

I stumbled upon a really neat puzzle game recently. The game is called Isoball.

I was wondering if anyone has some source code or any idea of how to make this sort of puzzle game.

Let's discuss How to make it in pseudo-code?

lol Maybe it's very complicated? I don't know, I'm just throwing this out there.

I only have very short experience with game programming and I'm curious about this one.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Do you have a link or an image you can post?

That's tricky - with out looking up the game I would imagine reverse engineering it is a bad idea.

Also we really don't give out code - we like to learn together!

Okay - so what do you have so far? Rules? States?

Curious is good!

Which language are you going to use for this? Do you have any experience in game programming or programming in general?

I back tracked his 'introduce yourself' if anyone is looking for background on the OP.

Well if the OP knows actionscript that is most likely the easiest way to get a game like this up and running.

Look into isometric libraries or write your own. There isn't much physics involved in the game so it shouldn't be to hard to get it up and running.

Hope that helps some :)

Super late response from me. but better late than never yes?
I was googl-ing my name for no reason and I stumbled upon this old post that I made.

The information about the 2d isometric engine is the sort of answer that I was looking for. This adds sort of fixes my curiosity about the game which I have since lost interest in. Thank you for your answer to my post.
