How to change font position and size with css?

Posted 02 July 2011 - 05:59 PM

O am working on a menu bar using css and I have it working but i want to center the text that is on top of the buttons but not sure how to do it. I would also like to change the font size as well to make it a bit larger. Here is my css for the buttons

a.y {
width: 157px;
height: 37px;
color: #FFFFFF;
padding: 10px;
text-decoration:none;
display: block;
font-weight: bold;
background-image:url(../images/b1.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

Change the font size using the line font-size: 13pt to make it 13pt for example. As for alignment, you can use text-align: center; to center text. However, without seeing what you have and trying to achieve on the screen, it is hard to say if the alignment will work as expected. Can you show what you have so far and what you need it to look like?
