I have all my website backups stored as .rar files, since i have started uploading them to my server i would like to password protect them but i have a massive backlog of these files so i do not want to go through each file one by one, extract and rar it with a password on.
Does anyone know any software to easily set a rar password on multiple rar files in one go.

Winrar gives you the option to password protect your archive.

Im not completely sure what you are trying to do but, Could you just put all these files in a folder and password protect the folder? Would this help? A program to do this is:Folder Lock
http://www.newsoftwa...net/folderlock/
Also, TrueCrypt is great for partitions if making a seperate partition for these files would be more appropriate.

Hopefully these methods aren't totally off from what you need and can give you some options.

I don't know but i think winrar has a command line function..
maybe you can use that to make a program or just a batch file..
i'm on a rush now so i can't check, by the time i come back i'll try..
but still you can try google for winrar's command line..

I believe that it has to be done at packaging time. The encryption is built into the packaging process. Do these multiples all need different passwords? If not, I would do as the above poster said and either:
a.) encrypt a folder containing them all
b.) Store them all in another rar file (caution: your total file size WILL go up, and this is prone to corruption if you have multiple folder levels, not reccommended)
c.) do the gruntwork of repackaging
