dang good video card needed

Posted 12 February 2007 - 02:39 PM

we just bought a new massive tv with 1080i,
so,
i want a video card that will make my stuff look stunning on that,
and 1080p wouldn't be bad either.

is the GeForce 8800 the only way to go right now?
and if so, do i have to get the 640 mb or is the 320 alright?

7900 GT is sufficient. trust me we were running it on a plasma tv, then we decided to hook it up to the 150 inch projector screens at school. it can run oblivion on full with no problemo

so is the direct x 10 not gonna be a necessity?

cause i think the new 8800s are the only ones offering it right now, or is that just me being stupid.

well quick answer, no not now it isn't. and it's more of an operating system issue rather than a card issue imo
