Edit a .ttf font!

Posted 13 February 2007 - 04:01 PM

I want to edit a .ttf font to make it filled with a custom color instead of just being clear. Either that, or how to do the same thing in gimp. I attached the font.

I need to make the Captain M letters filled with the same yellow as the background line thing. Any suggestions?

Can you not simply sample the color with the tools in GIMP, then color in the letters by hand?
