That's the problem with the internet in general. When we have a problem with someone/something, we tend to talk about it. A lot. And that usually generates more interest than ignoring it does. For instance, I had never ever heard of Rebecca Black. Then everyone on the internet started complaining about her, and I found out who she was and what she had done. If they had walked away, I never would have had to be annoyed.

It's the same with topics like this. All of us feel the need to pile on, and we upvote other people calling the OP stupid, and we end up pushing the page to the front.

We need to remember the golden rule of the internet (no, it's not rule 34). "Feedeth not the trolls."

I don't think it matters whether the HR folks are male or female, they are rarely versed in the ways of the nerds.
