At the time at looking at the stock, it went up +2.58. Apparently people think him leaving is a good thing. As do I.

I don't really see what the big deal is. One man doesn't make a company. There's another CEO to take his place, and Apple will continue on as they always have. Some people seem to think that Steve Jobs IS Apple. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of people who work for that company world wide and the fact that the CEO resigns and hands over the role to the next guy in line doesn't really change anything.

Isn't Apple richer than the government of US? My friend says he's sick. Good luck Apple.

Anyone who has $20 in their pockets has more than the fucking US government. Not difficult.
That's what happens when you're 14 trillion in debt.

At first, I was pretty shocked, and then it's like - he's still gonna be there, just as chairman instead of CEO. And the difference is...? Nada.

...he's not gone from the company, he's just (probably) gotten too sick to be CEO. He'll still be on the board of directors and probably still in charge until he leaves the company completely or (god willingly) dies.

Here's hoping for an Apple Crumble... see what I did there?
Will he be changing his name now? Steve Jobseekers?
(Best I came up with last night)
edit: I guess he ran out of iDeas.

Everyone is richer then the American Goverment x] USA has the biggest/ one of the biggest debts (depending on where you look apparently) in the world and it grow bigger for every passing second, you can check it here: http://www.usdebtclock.org/ (It has a lot of information)
On a note about Apple, I think they will manage, they have a strong brand

Well, historically, Apple has relied almost completely on Jobs, and when he isn't there (like he was for a stretch of time), they falter.
That said, Jobs is still in the company, and as long as that remains true and Jobs has some power in said company, Apple will be just fine.
