Installing Vista from dowload on sep. comp (not previously installed)

Posted 20 September 2011 - 09:43 PM

Hi. Firstly, I have the basic concepts of installing operating systems but have never actually had to install from a download. I have purchased Vista and was only given the option to download the files to the computer that I am currently using on the C drive. I need to install the OS on a separate computer (could not download directly to that computer as I will need to delete or format the extra partition along with the computer having other possible issues). The issue with this is that I now have the .sdc files downloaded to this computer ad have not yet unpacked them. I am trying to find out what I need to do in order to transfer and then install the files for the OS on the other computer. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Its always good to check the FAQS of the place you got it from - if Microsoft thee good, if not then you could use one of the various methods of burning windows to a bootable disc that are floating around on the Net.
