Mac stats to Win Server

Basically I need a way to find out who is logged into the mac's on a pc/mac network. So basically I need the information to go to the win server. Atleast thats what I think it should be like..if im wrong, please correct me.

If it is OSX then the common unix commands for seeing who is logged in should work, like 'w' . Then you can get that info to a windows server anyway you want, CIFS mount for example.

Well im trying to use ruby to make a script that uses who, and than sends it to a central server.
