I must say that I am quite impress with SuSE. got it installed with minimal configuration. I just hate the part where it wants to add everything to /. I hate doing that. Also got XGL working just fine. The only problem I have is that I need to somehow write a script. that will autostart my rausb0 device. Does anybody know what the defualt runlevel is?

By 'default runlevel' I assume you mean the one with the mouse and the pretty graphics (kde, gnome...) I think that is distro dependent because on FC6 that runlevel is 5, but on ubuntu it's 3 (I think.)
If you want a lower runlevel (full-screen console and X is off) on FC6 it's runlevel 3, but on ubuntu it's 1.
I hope that helps.

Sort of. When I put my script in rc3.d it didn't seem to work. I know in debian it was also runlevel 2 by default. I took a quick look in /boot/grub/menu.lst. Is there another file that grub pulls from for bootup options that I might have missed? I am not familiar with grub. I am coming from Slackware and I am used to using lilo.

Is there a /boot/grub/grub.conf file? There should be.

That's what I thought also but I guess Novell decided to place it somewhere else. I think I will check the /etc/ directory. I have only been using SuSe for about a week now so I am still learning it's way of doing things.
