Sql Server 2005 in windows 7

Posted 17 October 2011 - 12:45 PM

Hi all.I have a problem.
I am building a web application in asp.net and MS SQL and I am using Visual Studio 2008 and Sql Server Express 2005 with Sql Server Management Studio Exppress Edition in windows xp.Now i installed windows 7 and I alo installed Visual Studio 2008 and Sql Server 2005 but now the problem is "Allowing Remote Connections in windows 7".

How to "Allow Remote Connection" in Sql Server 2005 on Windows 7 because when I run my web Application in Visual Studio 2008 on windows 7 it says that there is an instance failure and i think it is because of remote connections.

in windows xp I just allowed Remote Connections and everything was OK.

The problem is that when i go to Surface Area Configuration For Services and Connections - Remopte Connection - Local and Remote connecitons and when I Click apply it says: "Alter failed. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)"...

What should I do to allow remote connections??

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0
