Books on Sorting

Posted 18 October 2011 - 03:30 PM

Can anyone recommend any good books on sorting using C++. IT would be nice to have a book that would go into deeper detail how to handle the different searches in programming, such as bubble sorts, index searches, and the such, thanks.

Have you tried searching for books on sorting algorithms?

Sedgewick's Algorithms in C++ is good for getting a deep understanding of how the algorithms work and are implemented. This text is appropriate for an undergraduate algorithms course. If you want something that does that and explains computational complexity go with Introduction to Algorithms. This is appropriate for a graduate algorithms course or an undergraduate algorithms analysis course.
