Wordpress jCycle Slideshow problems

Posted 29 October 2011 - 12:27 AM

My problem is that the slideshow shows up on EVERY page, I just want it to show up on the homepage. I create a slideshow from the slideshow tab, I create a slider and assign the slideshow to the slider. The only way I can get the slideshow to show up at all is to enable it under my theme's tab. But my only option is "Use global slider for whole website" and I have to choose either jCycle or Carousel. I choose jCycle because I like it more but problem happens with both options.

How I get to these tabs are: www.[insertwebsitenamehere].com/wp-admin > login > tabs are on left side.

So how do I get the slideshow to ONLY show up on homepage? I know you can create a slideshow in a post, that is not what I am trying to do I want to use jCycle or Carousel and have a main slideshow that is at the top of the homepage.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Is it this one: http://wordpress.org...e/installation/

If yes, you can add this into your page template:

<?php if (is_front_page()) { ?>
  <?php wp_cycle(); ?>
<?php } else { } ?>

Edit: woops, OP posted 2 months ago >_<
