Multiple Processes in Console App

Posted 19 November 2011 - 11:31 AM

Hello, I have urgent need for an clue as to what I need to be doing here. The question wants me to make my console app program (that counts from 1 to 100000 in 10 seconds) count from 1 to 1 billion in ten seconds or less while still counting by 1's. Now, The only possible solution I can think of is to make the program divide it up into multiples of a hundred thousand and count all at the same time. My problem is I have no clue how to make multiple lines in a console app. Any ideas, help, or maybe a better way?

The code i'm working with:
	Dim R As Integer = 0
	Do While R < 100000
            R += 1
            Console.WriteLine(R)
        Loop
        Console.ReadLine()

Well, I'm going through all your code now and yes this should give me a idea as to where to start. Thanks!!! (This seems a bit out of my league with my being in a basic programming class.) I'll update once I get a better understanding. Thanks again!
