In HTML? I think your professor is probably referring to PHP, or maybe HTML5, but that is a remote possibility. What he means is you need to code something that would show a design pattern using sessions. Example of design patterns are singleton and factory.

I think he might refer to PHP. Is there anyway you can give me an example for this? Thank you

This is a pretty broad question. You will have to be more specific. Which design pattern? What have you tried? What research have you done? What is your specific question?

I don't see a connection between design patterns and sessions. Sessions simply hold data between browser page reloads. It doesn't matter what design pattern is being used.
