STFU and stop hating windows.

Excuse me? "STFU"!? You're entitled to your own opinion, but don't be telling people to Shut The F*ck Up. I'm a patient man, but that kind of blatant disrespect is uncalled for.

I forget to sudo and find out after writing a command as long as shit that i don`t have the permissions for it

Try the up arrow; it works wonders.

I don't see anybody bitching about Windows when playing a game of Quake 4 on a Vista machine.

That's because they've agreed not to in the EULA. :)

Unfortunately though, it doesn't always install their stuff without a glitch. Try tuning in during those times; people bitch.

and 30 seconds to dualboot isn't the end of the world.

Nobody said it was.

-----

Being a developer of cross-platform media, I'm often plagued by the self-righteousness of Microsoft. Sure, they've built a great operating system, but that's no excuse to disregard existing standards. They know that the average lemming is unaware that other platforms exist though, and continue to leverage such ignorant conformance in their continued efforts to strengthen their monopoly. It's an unfortunate selfishness that continues to hinder the evolution of the networked world.

But hey, all I can really do is bitch about it. Too few people are experienced enough to even realize that they sold their electronic freedom long ago. And of those people that do realize it, even fewer actually care. They've been bent over for so long now that they've forgotten how to stand.

:D

...and if you try to tell them about other platforms they think you are some sort of weirdo evangelist.

Yeah, I've given up trying to educate people about other platforms; it's a lost cause.

I was wondering when somebody would catch that quote; nicely done. You still can't have my base though. :)
