then a blackberry would be inappropriate for you, i however will use data services 10x more than voice services.

I've got one...it's for work, but I use it for personal business as well...at least the company pays.

My work one is a little old, alright...the 7250. I've had it for a few years. I like it in the sense that I'm comfortable with it, because I'm so used to it, but there are much better models out there. I switched to the Pearl about 3 months ago, but could not get used to the predictive typing on the compressed keyboard. Is it possible that I'm getting too old too change? ;) Or maybe I just have fat fingers! Either way, I switched back to the full QWERTY.

I'm going to have to change soon, though. They switch us up every few years, so I'll have to grab a newer one. Probably will try the compressed keyboard again.

I've heard good things about the 8800...really good. They're full keyboard, or do you have the choice?

the 8800 is pretty much the pearl with a full qwerty board and bigger screen. even has the same media functionality, but lacks the camera, but i'm ok with that. i played with the pearl and was impressed but didn't like the keyboard, so the 8800 really won me over enough to switch carriers for it.

Yeah, I may switch to that one then...I can certainly live without the camera as well.
