Hiall,

I want to set up network from the laptop.
what I have is laptop compaq cq62-225nr
dongle for intenet connection

what i want is settup a network and connect my phone to the network.
windows 7 ultimate os.

Well, get yourself a wireless router and attach it to your internet connection. Then you will be able to log into the router from your computer to setup a network password and such. Once you have the router setup, get yourself a IP phone that will connect to the router. Once you have that, you will need to get yourself a voip phone number for your phone. Or you can use a voip adapter as outlined in the following article...

So look at these devices and the voip service for more information on how to do this.

If you have a smart phone like an Android or an iPhone you can set up "internet tethering" from the settings menu in order to share you phones 3G internet connection with other devices.

You phone will create it's own wireless network which you can connect to from your laptop like you would with any other WiFi network.

If you don't know how to enable that feature on your phone, google you're phones model with the phrase "internet tethering".

Yes that's the what i want.
I have smasung galaxy s phone , bought yesterday. I wanted connect with my laptop. unfortunaltly I can not configure internet on my phone. as soon as I did this. I wil try ur option.

You can get more idea if u go to the site . I dont want to repeat it.

It gives u to identify devices with wifi and u can connect/disconnect them.

And if you're using Android 2.2 or beyond (I think) you can create a personal hotspot with your cellular data connection.
