Live compilation .class file's

Posted 03 February 2012 - 11:27 AM

Hi, im developing an application and I want to add this feature where the user's press login and the server sees witch version there on, when the version is lower then the version hold on the server, it gives them the message "update" then it would get all class files and compile it into a jar and ask to relaunch.

My question is,

1) Is this theoratical possible?

2) If its possible do I need to unzip the .jar then put the class file's in that zip and then zip it again with extension jar?

3) Would this be the best method or are there other and better method's?

Moved to Java. Please leave Java Advanced Discussion forum for non help topics.
