Greetings!

Hi everyone!

I'm a novice programmer, studying Python independently right now to further my goal of making a game with my friend. I did have some programming courses in high school (mostly Java) so I'm not 100% new to it. Reading "how to think like a computer scientist" at the moment. I love python, most fun language I've ever used.

I'm also primarily an artist/filmmaker/musician. Like I said, using programming to try my hand at another art form -- the video game! Favorite game is probably Resident Evil for the Gamecube. This is actually my second post since I posted a question on the Game Programming forum before I saw the "introduce yourself" link at the top.

Welcome to the site! :) If you can get the coding part down it sounds like you have a good pool of talents to draw on for your game, which will help with just two people. At the least, your project won't suffer so much from the usual and horrid 'programmer art' and random internet clips that most of up make due with while learning. ;) From what I've seen you should be fine doing a game in Python, but I'll let some one who knows more about the language give a full answer to your other topic.

Good luck in reaching your goal, and remember, us on D.I.C. always here to help!
