Hey,
Since this is a new forum I thought I would help get the ball rolling.
Obviously we all know about Windows vs Linux vs Mac. But there are other operating systems out there that are suitable for general purpose usage as well as more specialised purposes.
I currently switch between Windows and Linux, though am saving up for a mac (kind of the best of both worlds). One of my lecturers has eight machines running freeBSD.
What operating systems do you use and why?

OpenBSD for servers and pretty much anything server related. It has the title of most secure OS available for good reason, and most of its users are aptly labeled extreme paranoids. It has no GUI initially and really doesn't need one, seeing as many good sysadmins are able to do anything in CLI (and if they can't they need to learn...)
