Could someone please tell me what the minimum system requirements are for installing a Java Virtual Machine (JVM)?

Pretty much any machine can install it no problem....unless it had severely limited resources...

Well, that is what I thought.......however, that was the question my instructor asked of me. Perhaps he is testing me?

Perhaps...it can be a tricky question....
There are several JVMs out there, the most popular of course being from Sun. Some run on Linux, some on Windows, and while the framework allows for the same program to be platform independent, the system requirements may differ. Was it the JVM your instructor asked about, or the JRE?
